The OTHER SIDE vintage

Family-owned and operated

The OTHER SIDE
was created on March 1, 2000.  It began with 3 groovy chicks: Letha, her daughter Zan, and her daughter-in-law Melissa.  The first location was on West Tharpe Street in the same building as The Patio Shop and hence, was named The OTHER SIDE (of the Patio Shop); although many have said it is named after many a famous song including: "Walk On to the Other Side" by the Doors, or "Other Side" by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, or an album "The Other Side" by Godsmack.  Nonetheless, The OTHER SIDE is a funky retreat for your shopping pleasure.

On November 1, 2003 The OTHER SIDE opened a second location on Railroad Avenue.  In February 2004 the Tharpe Street location was closed due the the landlord selling the property.  The All Saints neighborhood was a perfect fit!  Then on April 1, 2005 The OTHER SIDE opened what would become their main location across the street in
HISTORIC RAILROAD SQUARE.  This was formerly the location of FUNKSHUN JUNKSHUN, and brought with it some wonderful new friends.

The OTHER SIDE
is in a historic warehouse filled with funky furniture, vintage clothing for guys and girls, accessories, costume jewelry, home decor, LPs, collectibles, nic nacs, tchokes, and what nots.  We now have expanded our family to include buyers who travel all over the United States to bring you funky, one-of-a-kind finds!

SEE WHAT DENISE G. said about shopping with us:

"Every time I come to the Other Side (formerly funky junction) in Railroad Square, I get this homey feeling. Maybe my family is just a bunch of packrats. I think I'd most attribute this to the friendly staff and the the feeling of rummaging through an aunt's closet or attic and finding really quirky vintage stuff. And stuff is the right word, because they have two rooms full of clothes a small closet full of books, and then a huge open warehouse area full of everything from furniture to miniature teacups to vintage dental tools to a box full of mismatched chopsticks (well, you might not find that because I bought it). The staff is usually willing to negotiate a sticker/tag. This is a great stop if you're gallery hopping on First Friday or if you're garage sale shopping on a weekend morning....or if you just like vintage weirdness, consignment shopping, searching for a diamond in the rough, or simply like artifacts - both loved and mistreated - of someone elses life before today."
